N1  - George was born in 1889, son of Walter and Cornelia Stoddard, and brother of Walter.  He died December 22, 1896, and was buried in Johnston Township. 

According to the donor, the Stoddard family came from Scotland to the Johnston and Fowler area, purchasing land near the intersection of Bradley Brownlee Road and Stoddard-Hayes Road, Fowler Township. Many family members are buried in the Johnston Township cemetery.
