Note
The 1900 census shows a Richard Flaherty living in Niles with his parents Mikel and Margaret, the youngest of several siblings. A Richard Flaherty is also recorded on June 6, 1919 in the Ohio, Roster of Soldiers, Sailors, and Marines in World War I as living at 115 Morse Avenue, Niles. His draft registration card lists his birth date as February 28, 1889, his occupation as a musician at the Hippodrome theater in Youngstown, and that he claimed medical exemption. He was discharged July 31, 1919. He died in Youngstown, 28 November 28, 1939.
