A Richard Flaherty also appears on the Ohio, Roster of Soldiers, Sailors, and Marines in World War I as living at 115 Morse Avenue, Niles, recorded June 6, 1919 and discharged July 31, 1919. His draft registration card lists his birth date as February 28, 1889, his occupation as a musician at the Hippodrome theater in Youngstown, and that he claimed medical exemption. He died in Youngstown, 28 November 28, 1939.
