Certificate of birth and baptism reads, "To these two parents: As Jacob Kegarice and his wife Catharine, a daughter of A. Shoemaker, was born a daughter on the fourth day of our Lord 1832. This child was born in Springfield Township, in Columbiana County, in the State of Ohio, in North America; was baptized by the Rev. J. Hartsell and received the name of Mary Anne Kegarice.
