N1  - Orpha was born January 16, 1871 in Fowler Township, Ohio.  Her parents are listed on Find-A-Grave as Lewis W. Rhodes (1835-1915) and Jerusha Tyrell (1846-1893).  Her siblings included Elsie Eliza Rhodes Jones (1867-1944), Charlie G. Rhodes (1868-1875), Celestia Rhodes Stoddard (1874-1923), Blanche Rhodes (1879-1884), Calvin Rhodes (1881-1884), Vina Mae Rhodes Woodford (1883-1960), Nyda F. Ganyard (1885-1924) and Alda Lila Rhodes Engle (1887-1966).  Orpha married Thomas Irwin Strosnider in 1899 (1900 census) and they had a daughter, Irene Naylor (1904-1997).  They lived in Warren most of their lives. Orpha died August 6, 1934, in Warren, and was buried in Oakwood Cemetery (Find-A-Grave).  

This item was included in an album of cabinet cards, many unidentified. According to the donor, the Stoddard family came from Scotland to the Johnston and Fowler area, purchasing land near the intersection of Bradley Brownlee Road and Stoddard-Hayes Road, Fowler Township. Many family members are buried in the Johnston Township cemetery.
