The general store was run by three generations of Russells, Alonzo Wright, Delos and Burt. The Russell family has roots in Bloomfield Township dating back into the 1820s. The building no longer stands, having been torn down to make way for a bank and grocery.
Delos’s daughter Helen was the mother of Mary Millikin, who was the mother of the donor.
