Thelma was born August 30, 1902 in Pennsylvania, the daughter of Florence Ellen Thayer Church (1878–1952) and Rufus Ames Church (1877–1958). She was employed as an instructor at the Crossnore School, Crossnore, N.C. Thelma died December 13, 1996 in Jackson, Michigan.
These materials were sent to Judith Campbell, a collateral relative of the Thayer/Church family when the new owners of the Church family home found them in the attic. The items are thought to have belonged to Thelma, daughter of Rufus and Florence.
