Samuel Hindman. Father David Hindman, mother Agnes Linvil. Born April 26, 1778 in Armstrong (now Clarion) County, Pennsylvania. Married August 28, 1806 in Pennsylvania. Died 1830 in Youngstown, Trumbull County, Ohio. Served in the War of 1812, War of 1812, Co: 26 Regiment PA Militia, Private. Samuel Hindman was a native of Pennsylvania, where his ancestors had settled prior to the Revolutionary war. Representatives of the name participated in that struggle. He married Sarah Manning, a native of Baltimore, Maryland, whose ancestors came to the new world with Lord Baltimore and settled in that section of the country named in his honor.
