An account of the resource
The 74 original photographs in this collection came to the Center in a scrapbook that included no donor information. The scrapbook contained pages of names of soldiers who served in World War II followed by a collection of photographs of soldiers and a single page of photographs cut from newspapers.
This is an open-ended collection and we are actively collecting photographs and information about men and women of Trumbull County who served in the armed forces in World War II. If you would like to see your loved one's photograph included in this collection please call (330) 399-8807, ext. 202 to speak to a staff person.
Additional information about Trumbull County residents who served can be found in the Center in the nine-volume collection "Trumbull County, Ohio Men and Women of World War II: Extracted Articles from the Warren Tribune Chronicle 1940-1947".

Title
A name given to the resource
Second Christian Church
Description
An account of the resource
Second Christian Church was located at 904 W Market St, Warren, Ohio, at the corner of Market and Mulberry. The original church was constructed in 1907, but was destroyed by a fire that started between the roof and ceiling of the sanctuary on April 27, 1972. The sanctuary and main body of the building were lost, but the educational building was saved. The sanctuary's cross was salvaged from the rubble and placed in the Fellowship Hall, which was used for worship while a new church was constructed. The first service in the new church was April 13, 1975, and the second sanctuary was dedicated in June of 1976. Second Christian closed in 2010 due to dwindling membership and finances. See the book Life and Times of Second Christian Church 1907 to 2010 for additional information.
